We started this so the good parts of the week keep happening.
Home Happenings brings local pros to seniors' homes to teach the things they love: music, art, cooking, cards, gardening, yoga and more. It's for seniors booking for themselves, and for the spouses, kids, grandkids and friends who want someone they love to have something to look forward to.
Why we built it
A lot of families know the feeling. Mom or Dad is doing fine at home, but the week has gotten quiet. The bridge group broke up, the art class across town is a hassle to get to, and the piano hasn't been opened in years.
There are good teachers everywhere, and plenty of them love working with older adults. What was missing was an easy way to find one nearby, know they've been checked, and have them come to the house on a regular day. So we built that.
We're starting small, in Essex County, New Jersey, with pros we can get to know one by one. We'd rather do a few towns well than many towns badly.

What we believe
Age isn't a reason to stop
People pick up the piano at 75 and get good at it. They garden, paint, play cards and cook for the people they love. The love of it doesn't fade. Getting there just gets harder.
Home is the easy part
Driving, parking, stairs and weather stop a lot of good plans. When the lesson comes to the kitchen table, the hard part disappears and people keep going week after week.
Trust is earned, not assumed
Every pro is checked and vetted before they're listed. Families can read real profiles, message first, and get a short note after every visit.
