About me

I am a recreation leader by training and spent three years running activity programs at a senior living community in Cedar Grove. Game afternoons were always the most popular hour of the week, and I learned how to teach a new game to a full table in about five minutes.

Now I teach card and tile games in people's homes. Rummikub, gin rummy, Uno, crazy eights, and a few I have picked up from my own grandparents. I keep the rules short and the first rounds open, so nobody feels lost. I am also a certified trainer, and I like to fit in a few seated stretches and band moves between rounds. Grandkids are always welcome to join, and teaching them alongside you is half the fun.

I grew up in Verona and still live a few minutes from Verona Park. When I am not teaching, I coach a Saturday kids basketball clinic and try to beat my dad at cribbage. I have not yet.
