About me

I got into training older adults because of my grandmother. After she moved in with us in Glen Ridge, I started doing sit-to-stand drills with her in the living room while I was still in school, and within a couple of months she was walking to the mailbox on her own. That stuck with me.

I finished my degree in exercise science at Montclair State in 2021 and spent three years coaching small group classes at a gym in Bloomfield, where the 7 a.m. crowd was mostly retirees who were tougher than anyone. Now I teach one on one in people's homes. I keep it simple: a chair, a resistance band, and exercises you can repeat on your own between visits. I write everything down and leave it on your fridge.

I am 26, I talk a lot, and I will learn the names of your kids and your dog by week two. When I am not working I run the loop at Brookdale Park, usually slower than I would like to admit.

What a first visit looks like

  1. 1

    Minute 0 to 10

We chat about your daily routine, what feels hard right now, and what you would like to do more easily.

  2. 2

    Minute 10 to 20

A few simple checks: standing from a chair, a short walk across the room, and reaching overhead.

  3. 3

    Minute 20 to 50

Our first real workout, seated and standing, with a light band. Ten moves, nothing that needs the floor.

  4. 4

    Minute 50 to 65

We pick three exercises for you to do between visits and I write them out with pictures and reps.
